Strain Rederivation Services
Strain rederivation is a management tool used to clean a mouse line from pathogen infection or to import mice into a barrier facility from an outside vivarium. We offer rederivation service by IVF, laser-assisted IVF or ICSI followed by embryo transfer into pseudopregnant recipients to produce pups in a barrier facility.
If your mouse colonies have ceased reproducing or are threatened by health or other issues we can also help. We offer strain rescue service by IVF, laser-assisted IVF or ICSI followed by embryo transfer to produce pups in a barrier facility.
We highly recommend adding sperm cryopreservation services of the mutant male(s) being used for rederivation or rescue. Embryo cryopreservation is also recommended if extra embryos are produced by IVF.
Please see our order page for additional information on rederivation pricing.
Speed Expansion Service
Does your project require dozens or hundreds of mice? If your project requires a lot of pathogen-free mice at the same age, our speed expansion service can help you. We do IVF to produce plenty of embryos for embryo transfers into enough pseudopregnant recipients to produce pups at the same age. This saves months when compared to traditional breeding approaches and requires only one male mouse.
Please see our order page for additional information on expansion service pricing.
